Preferences

Several settings are available in the preferences menu. It is accessed by pressing « PREF » (2ndF).

Display :

Number:

- Decimal digits: allows you to select the number of decimal digits displayed from 0 to 17. All calculations are made with a precision of 25 decimal digits, only the display is rounded to the number of decimal digits chosen. Note that a result below the display capability of accuracy selected will be displayed in scientific notation.

- Delete the right zeros: mask the trailing zeros in the fractional part of the result. Example: 1.200 will be display 1.2

Notation :

- You can view the results in scientific notation or engineering notation.

Trigonometry :

- You can choose between Degree or Radian for trigonometric calculations.

Keyboard:

Calculator:

- Text of keys in color: allows you to enable or disable the text color of the keyboard.

Number:

- Automatic input of the value when a value is selected in history : allows you to enable or disable automatic pressing the ENTER key when selecting a value (result) in history.

History :

- Maximum calculation: allows you to choose the maximum number of calculations saved in history. From 5 to 10 for VFCalc Lite and 5 to 500 for VFCalc.

- Automatic calculation of the formula when the formula is loaded in the calculator : allows you to enable or disable automatic pressing the ENTER key when selecting a formula in history.

- Automatic input of the display value in the first variable in the formula when the formula is loaded into the computer : allows you to enable or disable the save of the value of the calculator (display) in the first variable in the formula selected in the history.

Formulas:

- Automatic input of the display value in the first variable in the formula when the formula is loaded into the computer : allows you to enable or disable the save of the value of the calculator (display) in the first variable in the formula from the list of formulas.

- Automatic calculation of the formula when the formula is loaded in the calculator : allows you to enable or disable automatic pressing the ENTER key when selecting a formula in the formula list.

Buttons of formula :

You can attach a saved formula to a button (F1-F12). You are asked to enter a symbol to be displayed in the button and select a previously saved formula in the formula list. VFCalc Lite has two buttons, F1 to F2, and VFCalc has twelve buttons F1 to F12.

VFC Examples:

Regenerates examples of constants, variables and formulas that have been erased.
